Unlined window treatments are pretty self-explanatory — there is no lining added to the window treatment.

• This preserves the natural transparency of the material.

Privacy Lining

Privacy lining allows natural light to shine through, but offers exceptional privacy. The Shade Store recommends privacy lining for ground-floor rooms and other spaces in the home where you would like privacy.

Blackout Lining

Blackout lining is an opaque material added to the window treatment to block light. The Shade Store recommends blackout lining for bedrooms, media rooms and other spaces where you would like complete darkness.
