Wherever we have a store location we are required to charge sales tax: NY, CA, FL, MA & IL.
All products carry a limited lifetime warranty. We will repair or replace any product due to workroom error so long as the product is not misused and abused. Replacement must be for the same window as the original order.
Because every product is custom made, we cannot allow straight returns. However, if you are unhappy with your product, we will remake or repair it if it's due to workroom error. If you’re just unhappy with your selection, we can offer you up to 50% off a different item. Our philosophy is simple – if you are not happy with the product, we will work with you until you are.
Yes. All components are included as well as step by step instructions. You can call us to walk you through the process or you can sign up for a local pro to install your treatment for you.

*Installation charges through our independent professional network are not included. You pay those fees separately and directly to the installer. We do not make anything on the installation fees so you get the lowest price possible from the installer.

We’ve taken our 60+ years of industry know-how and simplified all aspects of the process. It’s simple! If you are handy with a drill it will be no problem. Otherwise, please contact us for help, or we can arrange an independent professional to come to your home for you.
Because every product is custom made and because we have such aggressive lead times – production begins as soon as you place your order. Therefore, we are required to charge your credit card as soon as you place your order.

Minimal care and cleaning is needed to maintain the beauty of your treatment. Clean with a low suction, hand held vacuum or dust with a soft, clean cloth or feather duster. Never immerse your treatment in liquid of any type. Contact help@theshadestore.com if you have questions regarding how to clean your treatment.
