"Windows are the opportunity for the interior designer to show his or her true talent for enhancing a room."
My goal was to make the windows feel bigger, wider and taller. I accomplished this by setting the draperies off the window by ten and twelve inches making them appear wider. To give the illusion of more height, I took fabric all the way to the crown. Next I hid the wall space above the window with a Roman shade. Magic! I designed the hardware to go all the way across the length of the wall. This provides the illusion of an even larger room. I love the beautiful polished metal detail it creates right under the crown. So chic!
