Inside:
STEP 1: Measure the inside width at 3 locations - the top, middle and bottom. Record
the smallest of the 3 measurements. This is your ordering width. We will make the necessary
deductions (approx. 3/8"-1/2").
STEP 2: Measure the height at 3 locations - the left side, middle and right side.
Record the largest of the 3 measurements. This is your ordering length.

Outside:
STEP 1: Measure the width of the area you wish to cover. If space
allows we recommend adding 2-3" (1-1 1/2" each side) to this measurement to help eliminate light
seepage. This is your ordering width and will be the overall measurement of the shade.
STEP 2: Measure the height of the area you wish to cover. This is
your ordering length.

LININGS
'Lining' refers to a fabric sewn to the back of the shade to protect it from the sun, improve insulation, add body, and reduce the amount of light that travels through the body of the window treatment. Your Roman Shade can either come unlined, with a privacy liner, with a blackout liner or with a privacy liner and interlining. There is NO CHARGE for privacy or blackout lining.
Please note: small stitch will show where rings are sewn to back of shade regardless of lining type.
*For the most tailored appearance and optimal performance in high usage areas we recommend using blackout lining.
UNLINED:
- No lining added to your window treatment
- This will preserve the natural transparency of the material
- The rings sewn to the back of the shade and the lifting strings/mechanism may be visible due to the sheerness of fabric selected. If this is a concern, adding a lining is recommended.

PRIVACY LINING:
- Offers privacy and provides greater light control
- Helps protect the material from fading due to sunlight
- Adds additional body and weight to the shades

- Note: with lightweight fabrics, you may still see the shadow of the rings and lifting cords on the back of the shade during the daytime. If this is a concern, consider blackout lining or privacy and interling.
BLACKOUT LINING:
- Blocks 99% of light for complete privacy and great insulation
- Protects material and provides great insulation
- Great for bedrooms, media rooms, or wherever light blockage is desired
- Allows workroom to add "stiffeners" (non-visible thin metal strips) in between the fabric and the lining that helps the shade maintain optimal memory and a clean tailored look.

PRIVACY LINING + INTERLINING:
- Standard privacy lining combined with a cotton flannel "interlining"
- Protects material and provides great insulation
- Offers complete privacy
- Adds additional body and fullness

TOP DOWN / BOTTOM UP:
- Dual operation allows you to control privacy while still allowing light in
- Shade can be lowered from the top down and raised from the bottom up. Left control will operate the top down feature, right control will operate the bottom up feature.

- Comes with 4" fabric covered valance
- When ordered as an outside mount, please note valance will be 1" wider than shade

UPHOLSTERED VALANCE:
Enhance the look of your roman shade by adding a 4"h upholstered valance to the top! This
hand-made, fully upholstered wooden valance is the perfect finishing detail for any roman shade.
Please note: when ordered as an "outside mount" the overall width of the valance will be 1" wider
due to thickness of returns.
