Recently on Twitter someone asked, “Do you make/sell shades for real?” Not only do we make and sell shades, we do it in our own US workrooms. We offer drapery, panel systems, accessories– the whole nine. With a little help from our design partners, The Shade Store is able to offer accessible, simple and stylish design solutions. We’d say that is for real.

And while every entry won’t be about our window treatments, posts will cover design and the creatives that inspire us to make our product great. We’ll offer dedicated posts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with our occasional Pop-In Posts throughout the week– you know, for those things that just can’t wait: a huge sale at the DWR Annex; the inevitable second gen iPad case that will be so cleverly designed, that you might drop more on it than you did for the actual iPad itself; or the announcement for an opening of a new brick and mortar (like Droog) that could change your life. Yes, we get pretty riled up about design.
