We decided to take a ride on the much-talked-about new East River Ferry into Williamsburg, Brooklyn this weekend. Such a fun and convenient commute from downtown Brooklyn. We had a great ride.

Scattering through the streets for some design inspiration, we hit up the usual Brooklyn Flea to browse hundreds of antiques and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers. It’s always a fun couple of hours. Then we found some true interior design inspiration as we rounded the corner of N. 6th and Berry.
A&G Merch is a Brooklyn based home furnishings store in the heart of Williamsburg. It’s always worth a look to see what’s new and they usually have something that I *must* have. They are neighbors of the very popular Future Perfect home & design store, however A&G Merch is bit more affordable. They have a great selection of sofas and seating. The Cobble Hill Apartment Sofa below is my favorite.
And here are a few other items we nearly walked out with this weekend…

In the back of the store, they display a varierty of window treatments from The Shade Store, too. So, you can even shop with us in person in Brooklyn. The store also has their own blog to keep us in the loop on special deals and news around the neighborhood. I’ll be checking back in there to see what’s new over these Summer months.
